Utah Jazz Honor Kobe Bryant

NYC Protester to Ted Cruz: ‘You Should Not Be Here’

Bryant did not have his best night, as he exited the game with only five points in 28 minutes and missed 10 of his 11 shot attempts on the night. Still, the fans in attendance seemed thrilled to see the future hall of famer take the court one last time.

One set of lucky fans even received Bryant’s arm sleeve. A girl inexplicably took a whiff of Bryant’s sweat soaked arm sleeve, which immediately set the internet ablaze.

Conceivably, the arm sleeve still did not stink nearly as much as the Lakers’ team did on Monday night. Utah led by as many as 53 points and eventually won by a final count of 123-75, which tied the record for the worst loss in Lakers’ franchise history: 48 points.

Two Pittsburgh Steelers players who honored their mothers by wearing memorial accessories received fines for uniform violations from the NFL today.

The NFL issued a $5,787 fine to cornerback William Gay for wearing purple cleats to shed light on domestic violence. When Gay was 8 years old, his stepfather shot his mother, Carolyn Hall, three times, murdering her, then killing himself. Gay volunteers at the Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater of Pittsburgh and has been outspoken against domestic violence.

NFL Commissioner: Patriots Won’t Get Draft Picks Back

The complaint claims the NFL made an “arbitrary and capricious” decision to revoke the pick in this month’s draft even though there is no proof the team deliberately deflated footballs in the Jan. 18, 2015, AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts.

The star of “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,” ”Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” and “Elf,” among other movies, will travel to the Phoenix suburbs of Mesa, Tempe, Scottsdale, Glendale and Peoria via helicopter. The event will be filmed for an upcoming HBO special in conjunction with the Funny or Die website co-founded by Ferrell.

HBO said Ferrell is dedicating his special to fighting cancer. He also will honor Bert Campaneris’ fete of playing nine positions in a game five decades ago.
