Isaiah Thomas overcomes two days of dental surgery to play Game 2

Isaiah Thomas, who underwent major oral surgery Monday and Tuesday, shook off the after-effects to start Tuesday’s Game 2 against the Wizards.

The Celtics All-Star point guard, who lost an upper-left front tooth early in Game 1 Sunday, missed practice Monday for a visit to the dentist’s office, then had more work done Tuesday. Boston coach Brad Stevens said the Celtics star was still in pain Tuesday, but nevertheless played. He was fitted with custom-made protective mouthguards.

A day before George’s 26th birthday, he took a trip to Disneyland in his home state of California. There, he apparently met several residents who made their pitch for him to join the Lakers, although it doesn’t look like Cheap China Jerseys he engaged with them too much.

While the Pacers All-Star has told the front office he’d like to stay, various reports have said he wants the opposite. Many believe George is bound to exit Indy to play for his hometown team when the opportunity comes.

There a few obstacles in the way of that happening, though. First, if George makes any All-NBA team for this season then he’d be set to earn an additional $70 million with the Pacers. That’d be hard to turn down, no matter how badly he wanted out. There’s also a chance the Pacers trade him elsewhere before he hits free agency.
